In 1998, I began doing image editing and participated in several high school competitions for fine and digital art. I started by creating freehand images using a mouse in MS Paint, and later moved on to more advanced software for image retouching in high school. As I have always been skilled in fine art, transitioning to digital art came naturally to me.

In the beginning, I improved my skills by creating business cards for friends and family and retouching photos at a framing studio specializing in large-format prints.

Designing at HKT

I was called upon to step in at a small print shop when their designer went on an extended vacation, and this opportunity led to a promotion at my retail job, where I became their catalog designer. During my time at HKT, I further refined my skill set by taking product photos for the catalog and implementing a database for image organization and storage. I was also
After working for a few years at HKT as their graphic designer, I was accepted into the Savannah College of Art and Design and continued my education there. After graduating, I worked in Hollywood for a few years as a Big Data, Backup, and Render Farm Digital Production administrator. While in California, I frequently attended the Defcon Hacker convention in Las Vegas, where I became known as "Sharpie Girl" for drawing on the convention badges. Upon leaving California and moving to Indiana, I returned to graphic design.

Hacker For Charity

Through connections at Defcon, Glen Eccard from HFC recognized me, and I started designing T-shirts for Hackers for Charity. Responsible for managing all HFC artwork, coordinating with vendors, and proposing ideas for media campaigns (t-shirts, logos, etc). Develop artwork and ideas for HFC products and events. Coordinated the launch of media campaigns with HFC Board of Directors. Decided how best to communicate HFC mission messages in print and thru pictures. I also designed and collaborated on t-shirt designs for the three major conferences (ShmooCon, DEFCON, DerbyCon) from 2013 until 2017.

I was the Lead Graphic Designer at ABR Print, a full-service print shop in Bloomington, Indiana. My primary responsibilities encompass design for screen printing T-shirts, color separation, and other print media. I am also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the shop, including administrative tasks such as supply management, accounts receivable and payable, and HR issues. In addition, I was tasked with seeking out new products and services, maintaining printers, heat presses, and embroidery machines, and managing scripting to improve workflow on the website.
My Projects have included Fine Art and Digital Art Commissions from everything from painting: 24” by36” watercolor on Canvas, to pillow designs. My most recent Video editing project, a pitch video for NetThunder, was Filmed on location in Chicago in 2019. Recent Projects have included All the Monroe County Fair Signs for their benches and billboards in 2021, 2022, and 2023, their fair book in 2023, all the awards for the Lawrence County Fair, over 450 banners on average for the 2023 and 2024 fair season, the Nationals Awards for the Belgian Hare and Mini Lop Rabbit Club in 2024, 4-H T-shirt and club logo designs various clubs over the last 5 years. When I Left my last job and re-launched MMC Arts in early 2024 and run my design label for shirts with fully customizable options.
